Interaction with your audience

If you want to see how real interaction with your audience works when you are presenting, have a look at this cool video from the World Science Festival 2009:

Many thanks Thomas for this great link - keep on sharing great inspirations - across nations and cultures!

Be flexible!

I found a great video today, enforcing two of my main mottos in life ...

So you might imagine now, which mottos I am talking about:

1. Be strict on your goals, but flexible on your means!
- actually, most people are dealing with their goals the other way round, giving up their goals, when doing the same stupid thing over and over again does not bring them to their goals
- so the message is, don´t give up your goal, give up the non-working strategy and try something new!

2. Grow by modelling excellence!
- you do not always have to reinvent the wheel to get excellent results
- just watch out for excellent performers in the discipline and copy them
- copying is nothing bad - as long as you do not forget to mention your source-stay fair!

So keep on rethinking the way you are doing things daily ....

.. as Richard Bandler said: "If you are doing what you have always done, you will get what you have always got!"

Be different or die!

... one of my mottos is BE DIFFERENT OR DIE! and there is a great video on this ...

When do YOU start to think different ?

Good morning CD

This is the CD I am listening to nearly every morning, while I am getting ready for the day. It is a great motivational NLP CD with a lot of very positive and motivating inductions. I am also using it for meetings and trainings (as background music before we start the official program).

So check it out at:

DU bist Deutschland!

This one is still very current ... especially for us Germans ... even if the campaign is now some years old. Let it inspire you!

Randy Pausch´s last lecture

This is a very touching speech about what really is important in life - achieving your childhood dreams - by a young professor with 3 little kids who knows that he has only some weeks left to live.

You can also find the original last lecture in full length on youtube at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo

It is 1:16h and worthwhile watching every second ...

Be great!

A wonderful inspirational youtube-video (with music-so turn on the speakers) which I want to share with you.

Be great!

Elevator pitch

Just recently Nicole and me joined a great socialnetwork workshop on the elevator pitch.

This was a real challenge as it was not only listening to a nice presentation, but doing an elevator pitch oneself.

After the workshop, I googled a bit on the topic and I would like to share the following interesting links on the topic with you:

And the next day I joined a Toastmasters workshop. This is a great way to train your public speaking capabilities in English. I was challenged again by John Holway, who is very enganged in this inspiring network. By the way he is a great guy to have fun with.

You find more infos at:

So get out of your comfort zone and work on YOUR elevator pitch :-)

Gandhi on change

Du musst selbst die Veränderung sein, die du in der Welt sehen willst.
You have to be the change, that you want to see in the world.

Great tools for great presentations

Thanks to my wonderful wife Nicole, I have another great link for you:

On this page you find great presentations which you can even download as pdf and powerpoint files. This is really sharing knowledge. I already donwloaded loads of charts from there.

One of the best books I have ever read on presentations is Presentation Zen, from Gary Reynolds. If you want to learn more about his ideas, check them out at:

You can find all the great images that Reynolds is using in his book at:

This is a great site for very affordable high quality fotos & more, which you can use for your presentations.

For fotos I also use www.flickr.com which I think you all know.
